Treatment Process

Treatment

First, a topical anesthetic is placed on the skin by your licensed Infinity Medspa+Wellness service provider. This process takes from 15 to 20 minutes. Once the skin is numb, the provider will gently glide the SkinPen across the targeted skin, creating microinjuries at the predetermined depth. Finally, a Biopelle Tensage Intensive Serum 40 ampoule will be applied for optimal treatment results. Total treatment time from start to finish is usually about one hour.

How many treatments will I need?

Benefits of the Microneedling can be seen after just one treatment. It is usually recommended that you do 3 to 6 treatments, spaced out between 3 to 4 weeks for the maximum results. Your Infinity Medspa+Wellness service provider will consult with you and prepare a package and regime specifically for your skin type and concern.

Cost

Price varies based on how many treatments are purchased. Our licensed service providers will conduct a skin analysis during your complimentary consultation. You will then be given your specific treatment recommendations and come up with a treatment plans based on your wants, needs & budget. You will be provided with an accurate price estimate for your customized treatment plan prior to any treatment.

Pain

A topical anesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area so there is minimal to no pain during this procedure.

Results

As soon as your SkinPen treatment has been performed, the tissues will begin the repair process. Most patients will note dramatic improvements in one to two weeks, however the full benefits from treatment can continue to increase over the following six months.

Pre-Treatment Instructions

• No Retin-A products or Topical Retinol applications for 12 hours prior to your treatment.
• No auto-immune therapies or products 12 hours prior to your treatment.
• No prolonged sun exposure to the face 24 hours prior to your treatment. A Micro-Needling treatment will not be administered on sunburned skin.
• If an active or extreme breakout occurs before treatment, please consult your practitioner.

Post-Treatment Instructions

WHAT TO EXPECT
• Immediately after your treatment, you will look as though you have a moderate to severe sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. Patients may experience some redness, swelling or peeling for 2 to 3 days. Makeup can be used to cover this after 12 hours.
CLEAN
• Use a mild, soothing cleanser to wash face for the following 72 hours and gently dry the treated skin. Always make sure that your hands are clean when touching the treated area.
HEAL
• We recommend using Biopelle Tensage Intensive Serum 40 ampoules following treatment to help soothe the skin, lessen irritation and speed up the healing process.
HYDRATE
• Following your treatment, your skin may feel drier than normal. Hyaluronic Acid is an ideal ingredient to hydrate and restore the skin back to perfect balance. We recommend using Biopelle Tensage Intensive Serum 40 ampoules following your SkinPen treatment.
MAKEUP
• It is recommended that makeup should not be applied for 12-24 hours after the procedure. However, your licensed service provider may be able to supply you with specialized mineral makeup product that they feel would be suitable for use during this period. Do not apply any makeup with a makeup brush, especially if it is not clean.
PROTECT
• Immediately after the procedure, apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with a minimum SPF 30. A chemical-free sunscreen is highly recommended. Continue to use sunscreen everyday post procedure.

WHAT TO AVOID
• For at least 72 hours post treatment, do NOT use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as active skincare. Soothing and gentle products ONLY!
• Avoid intentional and direct sunlight for one week.
• Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
• No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment.
• Sweating and gym environments are harmful, rife with bacteria, and may cause adverse reactions.
